Classification System Efficiency - CSE

Classification System Efficiency (CSE) is a powerful, emerging tool that can be used to increase grinding circuit efficiency. A key performance indicator, it can be defined as the percentage of the ball mill energy being used to grind target, oversize particles.

Metcom is now offering a CSE Training Program. It is designed to help you implement this valuable metric in your plant grinding operations. Training is self-paced and delivered online. Average training time for this package is 20 hours. This includes certification testing and participants receive 2.0 Continuing Education Units (CEU's) from the Engineering Institute of Canada.

The training package includes registration and access to our online training system, Module 5-Functional Performance of Ball Milling, Module 7-Hydrocyclone Performance, Module 8-Hydrocyclone Adjustments, Module 9-Slurry Pumping and Module 18-Evaluation of Circuit Classification.

This video is entitled: Plant Performance Improvements Using Classification System Efficiency (CSE).

It was presented at the 2012 SME Conference in Seattle, WA by Metcom's Robert E. McIvor.

CSE has also been featured in the September 2014 issue of Mining Engineering Magazine,
